Better Business Summit 2021

Saroo Brierley, whose autobiography was turned into the award-winning movie Lion, and Thankyou Water founder and managing director Daniel Flynn are among the keynote speakers for the Better Business Summit 2021.

The award-winning Better Business Summit will take place in five states across May and June of this year, bringing together a host of inspirational speakers to help inspire, motivate and educate brokers on how they can implement strategies and frameworks for success.

Themed “Better Connected”, the Better Business Summit 2021 will deep-dive into the key learnings from the past year to ensure we aren’t socially distanced when physically distancing.

Whether it’s connecting with what consumers want from their mortgage experience, forming strong links with referral partners, plugging into the latest technology to bridge the divide when physically distanced, or reconnecting with our own wellness, the Better Business Summit 2021 is a not-to-be-missed event.

Keynote speakers this year include Saroo Brierley, whose #1 international bestselling autobiography about his journey to find his biological family in India, A Long Way Home, was turned into the award-winning movie Lion.

His remarkable and touching story of survival and sheer determination to connect with his biological family in India will inspire delegates to persevere in the face of doubt and repeated roadblocks in life.

By utilising resources at his fingertips, asking the right questions and approaching objectives methodologically, he made what most would deem impossible a reality.

The second keynote will come from founder and managing director of Thankyou Water, Daniel Flynn, who set up his company at the age of 19 and has since grown it to develop a footprint that stretches across 20 countries and has delivered life-saving programs to more than 871,000 people in need.

Drawing on the Thankyou story, this session will inspire delegates on recognising their greatness and demonstrate how to adapt bold, out-of-the-box thinking to change the game and make meaningful connections in their professional and personal lives.

Building a better brokerage

The Better Business Summit 2021 will also delve into the top tips and themes that can help you build a better brokerage.

The Adviser team will unveil exclusive findings from the Consumer Access to Mortgages Report session to showcase what borrowers want from the mortgage experience and how brokers can help achieve it.
Editor Annie Kane will also interview broker referral partners to learn what they most want from their brokers to maximise strategic partnerships, and conduct a live recording of Elite Broker, as she profiles a local elite mortgage broker to uncover how they got to where they are now, their tips for success and what they think of the current market.
Given that brokers are busier than ever at the moment, business coach Stewart Bell, founder of Audere Coaching & Consulting, will delve into how brokers can master their workflow, capacity and energy in three key areas, giving brokers the best chance of staying out of the admin and front-and-centre with clients.
The final session of the day will hear from performance and wellness coaches as they unpack techniques to help brokers connect with their wellbeing so that they can ensure they can outperform competition, engage their intuition, and detox their day for improved work-life balance and increased professional performance.
