CBA has launched a new program that is specifically designed to help female brokers achieve their business goals.

The program, Women in Focus, will allow participants to explore a series of questions, ideas and strategies across eight areas of their business and understand what they can do to take their business to the next level.

CBA's executive general manager, third party and mobile banking Kathy Cummings said the bank had long recognised the integral role women play in mortgage broking, and as such, is committed to offering training, coaching and support to meet their professional needs.

“Women are a key contributor to the business market in general and are a major source of competitive advantage and ideas,” Ms Cummings said.

“In 2009, our status as Employer of Choice for Women was renewed by the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) for the eighth consecutive year.

Eight of the industry’s top female brokers were invited to attend the inaugural Women in Focus business coaching program, held in Broome from 2 to 5 June.

Brokers in attendance were rewarded 8.5 CPD points from the MFAA.
