Vow awards top commercial brokers

The aggregator has honoured its top commercial performers at its annual commercial conference on the Gold Coast.

Vow’s fourth commercial conference saw brokers from across Australia gather in Queensland to learn about the aggregator’s new product offerings and technology updates.

In his opening address, Vow general manager Clive Kirkpatrick highlighted the growing opportunity for brokers in the commercial and equipment finance space, particularly as lenders continue to tighten their residential lending policies.

“Your customer bases have more opportunity than most people are aware of and this is primarily in the areas of commercial and equipment finance. We must meet their needs,” the GM said.

Mr Kirkpatrick noted that under the leadership of Glenn Mitchell, the aggregator’s commercial business has grown settlements from $275 million to $1.3 billion over the last three years.

“The market is ripe for business expansion and that expansion needs funding,” Mr Kirkpatrick said. “We have selected a number of lenders that have a very broad policy criteria to help you find a solution to every customer.”

The conference was followed by an awards ceremony, where Victoria-based GFS Finance was named the national winner of the Vow/YBR Broker Partner of the Year 2018 category. The group also took home the award for Partner of the Year – Victoria.

Thinktank’s head of sales and distribution, Peter Vala, was named Vow/YBR Commercial Partner of the Year for his dedication to the industry and support for third-party businesses.
