The major bank subsidiary has been dialing up its support for the third-party channel with a range of online mortgage tools and its recent partnership with The Adviser’s digital marketing initiative.

Bankwest is the principal partner of The Adviser’s Bootcamp Digital Marketing 2017 event, which will provide brokers with all the tips and tricks they need to know to develop a plan that can grow their sales and boost their brand.

The bank's support for the professional development event comes after the launch of its new online home lending portal, which enables brokers to access real-time information to progress customers’ applications.

The portal, which was rolled out to all Bankwest brokers in July, is part of a broader project to provide a simple, world-class application experience for small business and home loan customers.

It will initially allow brokers to track real-time status and critical information on current home loan applications, monitor existing loans and access a range of other helpful information.

Bankwest general manager of broker sales Stewart Saunders said that the new portal gives brokers access to information on both in-flight applications and existing customer loans, and is evidence of the bank’s commitment to evolving and improving its broker offering.

“Feedback from brokers who have piloted the home lending portal over the last few months has been exceptional, and the portal sets a new standard for access to information for brokers,” Mr Saunders said.

It builds on Bankwest’s Home Loan Application Tracker, launched in November last year, which the group says was the start of its journey to make home loan applications simple for home owners.

All brokers eager to up their digital marketing game can attend The Adviser’s Bootcamp Digital Marketing. The one-day event will also take place in the following locations:

– Brisbane - 22 August at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre
– Sydney - 24 August at Doltone House - Jones Bay Wharf
– Melbourne - 29 August at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre

It will teach brokers how to implement quick and effective low-cost strategies to attract more business, master the basics of SEO, get a glimpse of what success in digital marketing looks like, and discover partners that can help formulate efficient digital marketing strategies.

The full agenda for this one-day event is available at The Adviser's Bootcamp Digital Marketing 2017 website.
