The Adviser Better Business Summit

More than 4,000 brokers and industry professionals flocked to the event in February and March to learn how to supercharge their sales skills, leverage technology to their advantage, and use market intelligence to get the most out of their business.

Starting in Brisbane on 16 February, and visiting Sydney (23 February), Melbourne (2 March), Adelaide (9 March) and Perth (16 March), the Better Business Summit — partnered by NAB — was a day-long event jam-packed full of practical business tools, training and business intelligence to help brokers build a more productive and profitable business.

Brokers heard from the founder of one of Australia’s leading health and fitness brands, Michelle Bridges, as she led a fascinating session on how she has built her brand and navigated roadblocks to create more sales opportunities and convert more deals.

Ms Bridges also revealed how business leaders can perfect their profile, positioning and pitch to win more clients, more frequently.

In the afternoon, brokers were treated to an entertaining and informative talk from neuro-linguistic programming expert and bestselling author Chris Helder, who unveiled the power of “useful belief” and imparted real-world sales advice in a high-energy session that outlined eight things brokers could do to improve their client relations.

Leading economist Stephen Koukoulas provided attendees with key property and market information to help brokers give sage economic and financial advice to their clients, while marketing guru Beth Powell unveiled four simple steps to help brokers boost the efficacy of digital marketing campaigns.

Lastly, delegates heard from James O’Loghlin, host of the ABC’s TV show The New Inventors, as he led an amusing and eye-opening session on innovation and how to harness it to improve business.
