Loan Market unveils new broker platform

Loan Market’s New South Wales team has rolled out a new support service that enables brokers who work alone to bring a personal assistant into their business.

With the broker’s approval, Loan Market NSW creates an advertisement on behalf of the broker, reviews each application and provides brokers with a shortlist.

A job description template and an interview guide is provided to the broker to then carry out the interview process with the assistance of their dedicated BDM. Once a PA is employed, the state team provides an employment contract template.

Michael Karpathakis, NSW director for Loan Market, said the platform was put in place to encourage brokers to expand their business.

“We support our brokers to invest further in their business to drive growth and we recognise that they don’t have the time to go through the recruitment process, so we take the pressure off by finding the candidates for them,” he said.

Mr Karpathakis said when used effectively, appointing a personal assistant drives considerable growth in a broker’s business.

“Not only does having a PA free up a broker’s time to get in front of more customers and generate more business, it also allows for more structure and process to be implemented into their business,” he explains.

One Loan Market broker who is utilising the new service is Isaac Benson, who worked from home before deciding to employ a PA 12 months ago.

Mr Benson and his assistant work out of the Ray White Paddington office, and he said he has seen a considerable shift in business over the past year.

“Employing a PA has changed my business. I’ve seen it really take a new direction – we’re able to market better to our database and it has freed up a lot of time to generate new business. We’ve also introduced new systems which has streamlined the process,” he said.

“Previous to putting on a PA, I worked from home. Now, I share office space with Ray White Paddington, which has really strengthened that relationship, and I’ve seen more referrals come through. My business has really taken shape since employing an assistant.”
