The war between lenders shows no signs of abating, with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia launching two new credit cards.

The Diamond Awards and Business Awards cards both come with significant benefits and exclusive offers.

Diamond Awards cardholders receive access to exclusive World MasterCard benefits, personal concierge service, access to exclusive events and complimentary international travel insurance for return trips of up to 12 months.

Business Awards cardholders will receive one simplified account and statement, exclusive retailer discounts and access to the BetterBusiness website with advice and business management tips.

“We are proud to be launching Australia’s first and only Diamond credit card. This will be Commonwealth Bank’s most prestigious card, and will set a new service standard in the market. Of the many new benefits, the Diamond card will offer more points, more protection, and a concierge service that will allow our customers to spend points on anything, anywhere,” CBA’s executive general manager cards payments and retail strategy David Lindberg said

“We are also very pleased to be launching such a competitive awards product for our business customers. Awards programs have long underserved business customers, and we are delighted to be changing this with our launch of the new Business Awards credit card.”
