New Broker Academy 2020: Day 2 round-up

The secrets behind client conversion and retention, successful referral partnerships, and creating a leading marketing strategy were revealed at the final day of the New Broker Academy 2020.

On Friday (13 November), The Adviser held the second of two morning sessions for the fourth annual New Broker Academy 2020.

Run in partnership with principal partner HashChing, the virtual conference this year comprised two streams: one for new brokers and another for prospective brokers (those not yet qualified brokers).

Designed to equip new and prospective mortgage brokers with the tools to succeed, the free event outlined the knowledge, skills and mindset needed to succeed in a rapidly changing marketplace.

On Friday, real estate powerhouse Glen Coutinho from Harcourts streamed in from the United States to outline his top tips for brokers on winning more business, retaining clients and ensuring that they remain top of mind for clients and referral partners.

Marketing specialist Sascha Moore, the director of Create Design & Marketing, went through a step-by-step process for setting up, building and maintaining a winning marketing strategy.

Finally, brokers heard from two leading brokers (Gordon MacVicar from Mortgage Choice Peregian Beach and Anthony Landahl from Equilibria Finance) as they unpacked exactly what they do to build a high-volume business with strong referral partnerships.

Robyn Scott from Opulence By Design was named as the winner of the $500 prize from gold partner FBAA, while The Adviser’s $500 prize for the most engaged New Broker Academy delegate was Malinda Sherrard. Congratulations!
