Amfin welcomes new head of sales and BDM

The asset finance specialist has appointed Paul Murray as its new head of sales and expanded its business development manager and finance consultancy team as it seeks to expand its broker support.

Amfin has welcomed Paul Murray to the group to accelerate its growth in the third-party channel.

Mr Murray was previously state manager for NSW/ACT at Prospa and has nearly 20 years of experience in the finance and business development space.

According to Amfin’s managing director, George Dib, Mr Murray’s “significant experience in building sustainable business frameworks and leading sales functions across the lending space” will help him in his role as he works to help Amfin grow its network and “expand and nurture [its] partnerships, including the aggregator channel”.

As well as hiring Mr Murray, the vehicle finance specialist also appointed a new business development manager (BDM) in the form of Chris Maamoun.

Mr Maamoun was most recently working at corporate finance house Racefields Ltd, where he was responsible for capital raising for SMEs, and has previously held several BDM positions in Australia and abroad.

Mr Dib said: “Chris brings with him international industry experience. He has a proven track record of relationship management skills that result in high retention and engagement.

“He joins Paul to manage our broker channel and enable us to confidently expand our broker network with quality and care.

“Paul’s experience in driving sales processes and efficiencies, and Chris’ solution-driven relationship-building skills will be an asset to Amfin,” he said.

Mr Murray and Mr Maamoun will help brokers workshop scenarios, escalate deals and track deals.

Amfin has also expanded its team of finance consultants to further assist its partners.
