Lender farewells head of sales, appoints CCO

A lender has announced the departure of its head of sales and the appointment of Macquarie’s former co-head of intermediaries to the role of chief customer officer.

Bluestone has announced that Royden D’Vaz will depart his role as head of sales after five years of service with the non-bank, during which he has been a key advocate for the broker channel.

Mr D’Vaz’s responsibilities will be assumed by James Angus, Macquarie Bank’s former co-head of personal banking intermediaries, who has been appointed to the role of chief customer officer, effective immediately.

Following the announcement, Bluestone CEO Campbell Smyth thanked Mr D’Vaz for his service to the non-bank and noted the lenders plans to strengthen its presence in the third-party space.

“I’d like to pay tribute to the tremendous contributions that Royden has made to Bluestone over the past five years,” Mr Smyth said.

“The strategy we articulated is focused on positioning Bluestone to be truly broker-centric.

“As we look to the future, it’s important to remember what an exciting journey we are on at Bluestone with strong growth in home loans, investment in our platform and partnership with our aggregators and brokers,” he said.
