Property group launches new service for brokers

Reporter 3 minute read

A national property agency has announced the launch of an “industry-first” service providing rental appraisals to mortgage brokers within 24 hours.

National Property Buyers last week launched NPB Rental Appraisal Express, an initiative that the group’s CEO, Ashley Koenig, says will assist mortgage brokers to make their loan application process far more efficient.

“We want to work with mortgage brokers all around the country and understand the need for them to have their client loan applications approved as quickly as possible. That’s why we’ve committed to providing rental appraisals within 24 hours upon request,” Ms Koenig said.

“The process for brokers is really simple: complete the NPB Rental Express Appraisal form and one of NPB’s property managers will provide a desktop appraisal of the estimated rental income.”

The response from test campaigns has already been strong, according to Ivonne Di Perna, senior property manager at National Property Buyers.

“There’s been a big uptake in enquiries since we began rolling out the service to a select group of mortgage brokers, and we’ve received a lot of really positive feedback,” said Ms Di Perna.

According to Ms Koenig, the response has been pleasing, but not necessarily surprising.

Brokers don’t want to waste time waiting for appraisals,” she said.

“The NPB Rental Appraisal Express 24-hour guarantee makes the process to secure finance that much more efficient, which helps the broker and most importantly, helps their client.
