Western Sydney broker crowned Australia’s best

Over 700 guests were present at the 2015 Australian Broking Awards where this year’s Finance Broker of the Year walked away with the top gong.

Greg Wells has firmly cemented his status in the industry after winning Broker of the Year at the awards. The Sydney-based loan writer of Wells Partners and Mortgage Link Group also took out the Finance Broker of the Year title.

A further 23 awards were handed out at last Friday’s sold-out luncheon, which attracted more than 700 brokers, aggregators and lenders to the Royal Hall of Industries in Sydney.

Aussie Home Loans was named Major Brokerage of the Year – Franchise, while Home Loan Experts won the Major Brokerage of the Year – Non-Franchise category.

The aggregator awards went to Connective for Aggregator of the Year and Astute for Boutique Aggregator of the Year.

Loan Market broker Josh Bartlett picked up a gong for Customer Service of the Year – Individual, while Queensland-based George Samios from MADD Loans was named Newcomer of the Year.

AFG took home two trophies, winning the Broker Marketing Platform of the Year and Technology Platform of the Year categories.

Multiple-award winner Home Loan Experts was named as the Innovator of the Year, and Alliance Mortgage Solutions took out the gong for Training and Education Program of the Year.

Shore Financial won the Best New Office award, Aussie Home Loans Moonah was named Office of the Year – Franchise, and Cornerstone Home Loans won the award for Customer Service of the Year – Office.

Mortgage Choice picked up the Diversification Program of the Year award for the second consecutive year, and Aussie Mackay was awarded Regional Office of the Year.
