Mark Davis named Australia’s top broker

Mark Davis has confirmed his star status by being crowned Broker of the Year at the Australian Broking Awards.

The Melbourne loan writer was also named Residential Broker of the Year, while his firm, the Australian Lending & Investment Centre, was named Best Office – Non-Franchise.

This is just the latest success for Mr Davis, who was named Broker of the Year at the Victorian Better Business Awards and topped the Elite Business Writers ranking for 2012/2013.

Sixteen other awards were handed out at last Friday’s sold-out luncheon, which attracted more than 550 brokers, aggregators and lenders to Australian Technology Park.

Aussie Home Loans won the Major Brokerage of the Year – Franchise category, while Perth-based Resolve Finance won the Major Brokerage of the Year – Non-Franchise category.

The aggregator awards went to Choice Aggregation Services for Aggregator of the Year and eChoice for Boutique Aggregator of the Year.

Three Sydney brokers also took home gongs: Greg Wells from Wells Partners for Finance Broker of the Year, Thomas Hawley from Shore Financial for Newcomer of the Year and Justin Doobov from Intelligent Finance for Best Customer Service – Individual.

Connective won the Best Marketing and Best Innovator categories, PLAN claimed the Best Technology Platform and Loan Market took out the Best Ethical/Social Responsibility Program.

Adelaide brokerage Rise High Financial Solutions won the Best New Office award, Sydney business Aussie Home Loans Parramatta was named Best Office – Franchise, and Melbourne firm Empower Wealth Advisory won the award for Best Customer Service – Office.

The other awards went to Mortgage Choice for Best Diversification Program and Aussie Home Loans for Best Training and Education.
