A major bank has announced details of a national broker road show, set to take place in five cities across Australia throughout March.
The series of road shows will provide Westpac’s accredited residential mortgage brokers with industry insights, market information and strategies aimed to help brokers stay ‘ahead of the pack’ this year, according to a statement from the bank.
In addition to hearing from key guest speaker and Australian cricketing great Max Walker, and chief economist of BT Financial Group Dr Chris Caton, a panel discussion will be held to highlight the bank's current strategy and how Westpac aims to work with brokers in 2014.
The event marks the first time a major lender has invited family and friends to attend such a day. Each road show will take place at a popular amusement park, including Luna Park in Sydney and Melbourne and SeaWorld on the Gold Coast.
Tony MacRae, general manager of Westpac’s mortgage broker distribution business, said, “Our entire Westpac team are keen to get in front of our key customers – mortgage brokers – and now for the first time ever we’ll meet their biggest supporters, which are their families and friends.
"We understand that brokers need a committed partner that backs what they do, and their sentiment is very clear – brokers require key partners like Westpac to continually add value to their business. That’s why it’s important we conduct these road shows and ensure they are both relevant and meaningful.”
Westpac’s broker road shows will visit five major destinations: Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and the Gold Coast.
