UK houses values rise, finally

UK house prices have risen for the first time in 17 months, London’s government agency the Land Registry confirmed yesterday.

According to the Registry the average price of a home in England and Wales increased by 0.1 per cent in June, the first gain since January 2008, to £153,046 ($303,812).

Values in London rose 2 per cent.
