Aussie Home Loans has today confirmed that the Wizard Home Loans brand is to disappear.
An Aussie spokesperson told Mortgage Business today the rebranding of Wizard’s stores would commence once the acquisition settled at the end of February.
The 13 year old Wizard brand and franchise network was snapped up by Aussie in December, following months of speculation about potential suitors.
The spokesperson said the decision to rebrand Wizard was “clearly about economies of scale” and would enable Aussie to concentrate its efforts and resources on the one brand rather than two.
The rebranding would also assist to position the combined groups as a leading mortgage provider, with its substantial team of around 850-900 mortgage advisers and 160 branches across the country, the spokesperson said.
Wizard franchisees were informed of the decision to rebrand the franchise via a series of road shows conducted last month.COMMENT HERE
