More than a third of Australian consumers believe they are in a worse financial position than they were 12 months ago.
Sensis’ Consumer Report, released today, showed consumer confidence tumbled three percentage points in August to 32 per cent – approximately half that recorded in November 2007.
The rising cost of living was the number one concern for consumers, while rising fears of unemployment also hit confidence.
