Legislative reform saves home buyers

Changes to the NSW Real Property Act 1990 could save home buyers hundreds of dollars.

From 1 July, home buyers will no longer incur any Torrens Assurance Levy, regardless of the purchase price.

Previously, home buyers that spent more than $500,000 on a property were forced to pay the Levy, which started at $400.
