Everyday Rewards has partnered with Middle to offer members up to 250,000 points when they settle an eligible mortgage through a broker connected by the platform.

Everyday Rewards has partnered with home loan technology platform Middle to offer members up to 250,000 points when they settle an eligible mortgage through a broker connected by the platform, alongside annual rewards for up to five years.

Launching on 5 November, the arrangement covers eligible property purchases and refinances across a network of more than 60 lenders, including Australia’s four major banks.

It is Everyday Rewards’ first home loan broker partnership.

The maximum settlement allocation is equivalent to $1,250 in Everyday Rewards dollars and members can also receive 30,000 points annually, worth $150, for up to five years on each eligible loan, subject to continuing eligibility.

Combined, the settlement and annual rewards can reach 400,000 points, equivalent to $2,000 in Everyday Rewards dollars.

Loan balances determine the points on offer

Middle’s published offer details show settlement rewards start at 100,000 points for eligible loan balances between $400,000 and $599,999, rising to 150,000 points between $600,000 and $799,999 and 200,000 points between $800,000 and $999,999.

The maximum 250,000-point settlement reward requires an eligible balance of at least $1 million, while annual rewards require an eligible balance of at least $350,000 at each anniversary.

Money held in offset accounts or linked sub-accounts is excluded from the eligible balance calculation.

Everyday Rewards said the partnership combined access to lending options with an additional incentive for members considering their mortgage needs.

“This gives members the opportunity to find a home loan that suits their needs, explore potential savings and earn significant Everyday Rewards points along the way,” it said.

Members can spend Everyday Rewards dollars at Woolworths Supermarkets, Woolworths Metro, BIG W, BWS and other participating partners, or accumulate them through Bank for Christmas.

Everyday Rewards managing director Hannah Ross said the collaboration substantially expanded the rewards available to members and linked the offer to household spending and the financial significance of arranging a mortgage.

“Our members are always looking at how they can earn the most points possible and partnering with Middle allows us to deliver value on a completely new scale,” Ross said.

“Securing or refinancing a home loan is one of the largest financial decisions an Australian household will ever make. Whether it’s up to $1,250 off your Woolies shops or a huge head start on your Christmas savings, this partnership turns taking out or refinancing a home loan into real, everyday savings.

“It’s about rewarding members not just on settlement day, but also each year for up to five years.”

Broker connections underpin the home loan offer

Middle executive general manager Julian Heath positioned the partnership around the broker channel’s share of mortgage activity.

“More than eight in 10 new home loans in Australia are now arranged through a mortgage broker, and for good reason,” Heath said.

“Comparing options across multiple lenders rather than relying on just one can make a real difference. We built Middle to make that experience better, bringing together hand-selected expert brokers, genuine choice across a network of more than 60 lenders and technology that makes the process simpler and more transparent.”

Heath added that the rewards partnership was intended to encourage borrowers to reassess their existing arrangements.

“Our partnership with Everyday Rewards builds on that foundation, bringing the biggest single points offer in the program’s history to the home loan journey,” Heath said.

“We hope it encourages more Australians to take a fresh look at their home loan and explore what savings might be possible.”

Eligible lending includes residential purchases, refinancing to another lender and investment property purchases; top-ups, repricing, product switches and loans primarily for bridging are excluded.

Points are credited within 120 days of settlement or the relevant anniversary, once eligibility is confirmed.

Middle owner MA Financial reported in its September-quarter update that the platform had assisted more than 200,000 customers and was processing over $4 billion in applications monthly.

Its borrower tools support financial information collection, open banking connections and identity checks, while more than 1,800 brokers use its digital workspace.

The platform also integrates Equifax, Cotality, and open banking data, with exports into aggregator systems, including MA Financial-owned Finsure.

Loyalty partnerships extend across lending markets

Everyday Rewards described the agreement as another step in its financial services expansion.

“The partnership marks the continued expansion of Everyday Rewards into financial services. Members can now earn or convert points across a range of 22 retailers, banks and other partners such as travel and fuel,” it said.

The launch follows Prospa’s March partnership with Qantas Business Rewards, offering eligible SMEs one Qantas Point per $1 funded, capped at 500,000 points per loan, with fees applying.

Those points can support flights, selected flight discounts, upgrade requests, accommodation, car hire and purchases through Qantas Marketplace.

Earlier points-linked finance offerings have included Moneytech, Valiant Finance, and major banks.
