Mortgage funder introduces home valuation service

Advantedge has teamed up with property information provider CoreLogic and valuation firms to provide home loan customers with a new valuation service.

Said to be ‘an Australian first’, the service enables Advantedge customers who need a valuation of their property for their home loan application to arrange their appointment directly by SMS.

The new ‘Customer Preferred Appointments’ service sends a text message to customers’ mobile phones providing them a range of date and time options from different valuation firms. They are also able to access a calendar function.

Customers can then reply via SMS with their preferred time and it will be immediately confirmed. Customers who don’t respond to the SMS will receive a phone call to arrange their valuation appointment.

Advantedge said that a trial of the new service was “successfully piloted” in Perth and Adelaide at the end of 2016, and is now available to all Advantedge customers in all metropolitan areas.

Speaking of the new service, Advantedge general manager Brett Halliwell said: “We’re committed to helping our brokers and their customers get their home loans sooner.

“This new service makes it more convenient for customers to arrange the valuation of their home, which means it’s easier and simpler for them to get their home loan finalised.”
