PLAN Australia’s conference proved an amazing success for the aggregator, attracting more brokers than at any time in the company’s history.

More than 300 members participated in the four day Olympic-themed Go for Gold event, highlighting an industry segment focused on professional development and hungry for new skills to enhance their business’ performance.

The exclusive members-only conference featured a raft of high profile speakers, including sporting great turned motivational speaker Laurie Lawrence, leading business and finance commentator Peter Switzer plus ‘young gun’ social media entrepreneur Dr Adam Franklin.

In addition, PLAN Australia Conference attendees were also invited to a string of hands-on workshops and networking events.

PLAN chief executive officer Trevor Scott said the impressive turnout confirmed the growing professionalism of the third party distribution industry and the evolution of the mortgage broker into a genuine, educated financial professional.

“Brokers are hungry for knowledge and strategies that will not only help them to meet NCCP requirements, but build better, more efficient and more profitable businesses,” he said.

“The mortgage market remains challenging but feedback from PLAN Australia members attending the conference confirms that brokers are genuinely excited about creating a more professional, educated industry and they’re more motivated than ever to build successful, competitive operations.

“Without doubt there is opportunity for brokers who are educated, with better business skills, and PLAN Australia members are clearly determined to succeed.”
