The aggregator’s head broker is moving into a newly created role responsible for strengthening the link between brokers and the executive team.
Major aggregation group Connective has promoted its head of broker channel, Brad Clucas, to the newly created role of head of strategic member engagement.
Clucas began in the role yesterday (1 July) and is charged with strengthening the link between brokers and Connective’s executive team.
He will work directly with brokers to build strategic relationships and ensure they are getting the most from Connective’s platforms, services, and support.
Connective said Clucas would also be responsible for bringing the broker voice into business strategy and shaping the aggregator’s long-term direction in line with broker needs.
The aggregator added that the appointment reinforced its commitment to strengthening broker relationships through support and practical expertise.
“The role is designed to shape how Connective engages with members, particularly those operating in high-growth, high-volume or complex environments,” the company said in a statement.
Commenting on his appointment, Clucas said: “The broker-client relationship is evolving and so is the aggregator’s role.
“I’m looking forward to spending more time listening to our brokers, learning what truly matters to them, and translating that into real, tangible improvements in their experience and future with us.”
The new head of strategic member engagement has more than two decades of experience in the mortgage and finance industry, including the past four years as Connective’s head of broker channel.
Prior to joining Connective, he was head of business development at packaging and containers manufacturer Pro-Pac Packaging.
He previously spent almost a decade at National Australia Bank (NAB), including as head of sales transformation, business and private banking.
Gingkai Tan, Connective’s chief operating officer, said the appointment reflected the aggregator’s ongoing investment in its broker network.
“Brad is an incredibly experienced executive and has long championed the broker perspective within Connective,” Tan said.
“This new role gives him the mandate to work even more closely with our members to shape the future of their experience. It’s an important step in our strategy that goes beyond the established and well-resourced support structure we already have in place, towards a more strategic and bespoke partnership prioritising our brokers’ success.”
Clucas’ promotion comes alongside a number of leadership changes at Connective.
Kylie Louden began in the role of Queensland state manager this week, while Tanya Brimblecombe will take over Louden’s previous role as sales manager for Queensland.
Louden has more than six years of experience at the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) as state manager, business development for Victoria and Tasmania.
Connective also recruited Alyse Neilson as a Sydney-based business development manager, commercial and asset finance. She was most recently a partner, business development manager at business finance lender Dynamoney.
