Finsure appoints 4 to new roles

by Adrian Suljanovic8 minute read

The aggregator has made several appointments to its Broker Academy and sales teams.

The new starters for Finsure Group include Sonia Tamarua and Anthony Barry-Davies as NSW business development managers (BDMs) and Sev Isikli as a Western Australian BDM. Current Victorian state manager Chris Patsouras will now also be Western Australian state manager in an expanded role.

In addition, Vince Sercia has been appointed as a learning and development consultant for the aggregator’s Broker Academy.

Ms Tamarua joins Finsure from Advantedge Financial Services, while Mr Barry-Davies is a former Brighten BDM.

The pair will report to NSW state manager Noushig Megerditchian and fill the gap left by previous NSW state co-manager Phil Donaldson, who is now overseeing the group’s expanding white label program.

Ms Isikli recently joined the group from Australian Finance Group (AFG) where she managed the group’s Western Australian broker network. Her appointment follows former Western Australian state manager Damien Thompson moving into his new role as head of diversified and asset finance.

Mr Sercia carries four decades of experience in the banking and finance sector.

Chief executive Simon Bednar commented on the new appointments: “We welcome all of our new appointees to the Finsure family which continues to expand across the country.

“Our Victorian team will also be welcoming a new business development manager in the coming weeks to offer greater support to their network.”

CitoPlus partnership

In early March 2023, Finsure launched a partnership with digital commercial broking platform CitoPlus to facilitate easier and faster SME loan process.

Mr Bednar commented at the time that the partnership was “a win” for brokers and SME customers because it aimed to remove “key pain points” during the SME loan process and create a faster application process.

“CitoPlus has built a market-leading commercial broking platform that brings together the best of digital and data capabilities with the experience and judgment of commercial brokers,” Mr Bednar said.

“SME customers look to their broker for the critical support they need with their lending needs and this partnership is a demonstration of Finsure’s investment in helping their commercial brokers deliver best-in-class service to SMEs.”

Mr Bednar added that CitoPlus will be integrated with the aggregator’s customer relationship platform (CRM) Infynity and will remove the manual tasks involved with commercial deals to simplify the process for both commercial and “traditionally residential” brokers looking to diversify their skill set and support more commercial loans.
