Former Omniwealth broker Paul Mezrani has been appointed as national SFGconnect training manager and will be responsible for the aggregator’s new client relationship management (CRM) system, SFGconnect, as well as training and support on a national level.

Mr Mezrani has 15 years of experience in the industry and has previously served as a state trainer for AFG and, more recently, as a training manager for Stargate Group.

SFG manager Blake Buchanan welcomed Mr Mezrani to the company, adding: “Having someone of Paul’s calibre join our team is a great reward for the hard work that we have been doing to assist our members and their business.

“Having strong support for our member base is crucial to the service that SFG offers and forms one of the three pillars of our success,” Mr Buchanan said.

As well as welcoming Mr Mezrani, SFG has also announced that it has promoted its executive assistant Sadie Holden to the role of national administration manager.

Ms Holden has more than 10 years of experience in the broker sector, having previously worked as operations manager at Iconic Home Loans and as a broker and broker support member for Resolve Financial Solutions.

She will reportedly remain based at the aggregator’s head office in Perth to oversee general operations and administration nationwide.

Commenting on the new appointments, managing director and owner of the company, William Lockett, commented: “These are exciting times for SFG, and I am delighted to welcome Paul to the SFG team.

“I also look forward to working closely with Sadie as we continue to adapt our processes to ensure we provide the best possible level of service and support to our members,” Mr Lockett concluded.

The new appointments come following a period of growth for the aggregator, with its member base reportedly growing more than 30 percent in the last 12 months.

The news also comes following the departure of SFG national operations manager Frank Paratore, who has now joined Purple Circle as COO.

SFG has not yet commented on whether there will be a new operations manager appointed to replace the role vacated by Mr Paratore.
