Joseph Daoud is one of Australia’s fastest-growing finance entrepreneurs, building a multi-division lending group that settles between $20–$50 million in property loans every month.
An economist and applied mathematician by training, Joseph began his career at Macquarie Bank in 2017. After a slow start, he rapidly rose through the ranks, settling $20 million in a single month by his third month and $31 million by month six - establishing himself as one of the bank’s top-performing brokers.
In 2019, he founded It’s Simple Finance with a clear mission: to remove the intimidation, complexity and opacity from lending. What started as a boutique brokerage has grown into a 10-person operation working across residential, commercial and business lending. Today, the firm supports first-home buyers, seasoned investors, developers and business owners nationwide, and has helped fund everything from large-scale warehouse acquisitions to the rescue of a nursing home on the brink of collapse.

Darrell subsequently held senior positions at both AMP Bank and Liberty Financial before starting his own successful award winning mortgage broking business, ProMortgage, in Canberra in 1999.
ProMortgage was ranked as the number one Broker in the Professional Lenders Association Network, from the time it joined in 1999 until Darrell sold the business in 2004.
In four years, Darrell personally settled over $400 Million dollars in Home Loans, with an average loan size of only $250,000.
Darrell has been engaged to consult and present by some of Australia’s most recognisable businesses, including: The Commonwealth Bank, Macquarie Bank, NAB, AMEX, Mortgage Choice, PLAN, the Real Estate Institutes in QLD, NSW, SA and WA, CPA and CA, the Accountants and Tax Agents Institute of New Zealand, the Australian Institute of Business Brokers, the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association, the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia, and the Australian Bookkeeping Network, to name just a few.
