Better Business Awards finalists revealed

Forty brokers from around Australia are in contention to win five coveted state-based Residential Broker of the Year awards.

Leading the pack in New South Wales is Intelligent Finance's managing director, Justin Doobov.

Mr Doobov won four gongs at the 2014 NSW Better Business Awards and won the Elite Business Writer of the Year award for 2013/2014 after writing $480.8 million of business.

Alliance Mortgage Solutions director Eric Cui, who was recently named Young Broker of the Year, is also in the running to be named NSW Residential Broker of the Year.

The other candidates are Nixon Alex from New Era Finance, Alex Lambros from LJ Hooker Home Loans Eastern Suburbs, Kevin Lin from AHA Finance, Daphne So from Anson Financial Services, Ren Wong from N1 Finance & Lease and Raymond Xue from ACA Mortgage Solution.

Mark Davis from the Australian Lending & Investment Centre is one of the favourites for the Victorian award.

Mr Davis won the Broker of the Year gong at this year's Australian Broking Awards and Victorian Better Business Awards.

The other nominees are Anthony Alabakov from My Mortgage Freedom, Jason Chen from Financier Australia, Melissa Gielnik from Smart Lending, Ke Li from Advanced Choice Finance, Andrew Mirams from Intuitive Finance, Addison Tay from Ausin Group and Simon Xiao Yi Cai from C Loans.

Matt Cunliffe from Mortgage Choice Brisbane is in contention to win another Residential Broker of the Year award in Queensland.

He will be up against Ruan Burger from Time Home Loans, Neil Christie from Aussie Home Loans Oxenford, Tony Fornaro from Fornaro Group Wealth Management, Peter Gwynne from Financing Property, Colin Mason from Mortgage Choice Buderim, George Samios from My Address Finance and Lee Spyda from Investor Loans Network Gold Coast.

In Western Australia, Colin Lamb from Mortgage Solutions Australia will be looking to win the Residential Broker of the Year category for the second year running.

His rivals will include Rael Bricker from House & Home Loans and Leteisha Pileggi from Mortgage Choice Cannington, both of whom won categories at the 2014 Better Business Awards.

The other finalists are Quentin Grofski from Aussie Home Loans Morley, Warrick Greaves from Launch Finance, Paul Hamilton from Peard Finance, Tracey Imbuldeniya from Property Finance Online and Sarcha Sagisaka from Momentum Wealth.

Wendy Higgins from Mortgage Choice Glenelg East is also a chance to win back-to-back Residential Broker of the Year awards, this time in South Australia.

The other nominees are Terry Antoniou from Mint Tree Finance, Scott Marshall from The Loan Arranger, Scott Matthews from Finance Life, Simon Norris from Go Loans, James Schulze from Rise High Financial Solutions, Leon Spadavecchia from Afirm Financial and Sam Walker from Aussie Home Loans Prospect.
