June marks the return of Men’s Health Week, the annual campaign shining a spotlight on the health challenges facing men and boys across Australia.

Held from 15–21 June, Men’s Health Week focuses not only on physical health but also mental health and emotional wellbeing. The week serves as a reminder for men to take a proactive approach to their health, make informed lifestyle choices, and seek support when needed.

A key aim of Men’s Health Week is breaking down the stigma and barriers that stop many men from seeking help early.

Organisations, such as the Australian Men’s Health Forum, provide a range of resources aimed at helping Australians better support the men and boys in their lives.

The message comes amid ongoing concern around men’s health outcomes.

Research consistently shows men are at greater risk of serious conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers, while mental health issues, such as depression, and anxiety continue to disproportionately affect men.
