The former GM of a mortgage manager, Beth Ngoc Stolyar (nee Nguyen), has been found guilty of mortgage fraud at Burwood Local Court.
Ms Stolyar, a former employee of Royal Guardian Mortgage Corporation, had been charged with obtaining money by deceit under s 178BA of Crimes Act 1900 on 19 January 2016 for a mortgage fraud committed in 2005 but not discovered until 2014.

It was alleged that Ms Stolyar fraudulently amended a loan application to show false assets and liabilities and income.
After discovery of the fraud, her employer, reported the fraud to the NSW Police.
As it was a criminal matter, the lawyer prosecuting was from NSW Police.
On 30 March, Burwood Local Court found Ms Stolyar guilty of the fraud.
According to a source close to the case, the sentencing hearing was heard later that day, in which Ms Stolyar was given two years on a good behaviour bond, a $2,000 fine and ordered to repay commissions made on the fraudulent loan.
Ms Stolyar was also ordered to pay more than $6,000 in compensation to her previous employer.
Royal Guardian Mortgage Corporation has not commented on the case.
