Major brokerage supports food donation drive

by Reporter7 minute read

Brokers, team members, and those in the head office of Aussie Home Loans are being asked to bring in non-perishable food items as part of a food drive for charity OzHarvest.

The drive will see hundreds of hampers packed by Aussie team members and delivered by OzHarvest to those in need over the festive period.

The leading food rescue charity, which has been chosen as the brokerage's major charity partner, collects excess food supplies and delivers it free of charge to more than 900 charities providing much needed assistance to vulnerable men, women and children across Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Newcastle and Perth.

As well as the food drive, Aussie employees and visitors at the company’s recently-opened headquarters in Sydney are purchasing decorations for the ‘Aussie OzHarvest Tree of Goodness’ with all donations helping to provide meals for those in need.

CEO James Symond commented: “The Aussie team is pleased to rally together in support of OzHarvest and get behind their mission to nourish Australia and give people a chance to enjoy a festive meal this year."
