One month after joining the CENTURY 21 Home Loans team as chief executive, James Green has taken the brokerage to the next level, recruiting one of Australia’s top mortgage brokers.

CENTURY 21 has officially partnered with Pink Finance’s Nicole Cannon, Mr Green told The Adviser.

Ms Cannon, who is one of the industry’s top performing brokers and well known for her community and charity efforts, will become CENTURY 21’s 18th franchisee.

Pink Finance will officially partner with all of the real estate branches located on Sydney’s upper north shore.

Mr Green said he couldn’t be happier about the alliance: “We are so proud to have Nicole join the CENTURY 21 team,” he said. “Not only is she an experienced broker who consistently writes excellent volumes, but her commitment to the community is second to none

“She is an inspiration to everyone in the mortgage broking industry and we are so lucky to have her on board.”

Mr Green said that with the help of Ms Cannon and Pink Finance, he hoped to strengthen the CENTURY 21 Home Loans brand in the marketplace.

“I have high hopes for this company. I know we can do great things here,” he said.

Mr Green said one of his goals in his new role is to open a further 20 CENTURY 21 Home Loan franchises in New South Wales, taking the total to 25.

In addition, he hopes to build the number of CENTURY 21 Home Loan distributors to more than 100 nationally.

“I want to give top performing mortgage brokers the chance to own their own franchise,” he said. “I know that if we want to entice the top brokers, we have to be able to offer them their own asset.”

Mr Green said the benefits of owning a CENTURY 21 franchise were many and varied, including a good sale price.

“It is a branded asset that is aligned with the biggest franchise network in the world. So, unlike normal broking businesses, where a broker’s book can be sold for two times the recurring trail, CENTURY 21 franchisees can sell their asset for up to five times,” he said.

Mr Green, who was with Oxygen Home Loans for four years, managed to take the brokerage from humble beginnings to being one of the largest brokerages in Australia. The firm was named Major Brokerage of the Year (Non-franchise) at the 2012 Australian Broking Awards.
