Smartline named Franchise of the Year

Smartline Personal Mortgage Advisers has been named Franchise of the Year in the 2016 Top Franchise Awards.

Run by SEEK Business and 10 THOUSAND FEET, the awards rank performance across a number of variables, including marketing and branding, passion and culture, support and operational systems and opportunities for expansion.

Smartline managing director Chris Acret said he believes that the award, the eighth year in a row that Smartline has won the accolade, is reflective of the franchise’s philosophy and “core commitment to building a culture that positively supports franchisees”.

“When we established the business in 1999, we had a goal of building Australia’s best mortgage business. Today, Smartline franchisees are amongst the most successful in the industry, writing on average over $20 million in loans of every year,” he said.

Head of intelligence for topfranchise.com.au and 10 THOUSAND FEET, Ian Krawitz, said this year’s results “reveal a direct correlation between the improvements franchisors make in their business”, as well as “the impact these improvements have on franchisees and the industry as a whole”.

“[P]roviding better training on how to market the business locally, harnessing time saving technologies that give franchisees more time to spend with their families have all been off the back of a closed loop approach of caring, surveying, measuring and acting,” he said.

Mr Acret concluded: “We achieved these results by working in partnership and making sure we deliver support to the franchisees every day.”
