Top broker’s success secret revealed

by Reporter10 minute read

The business partner of Loan Market Victoria’s top broker, Josh Bartlett, has revealed the key that drives his success.

Speaking at the group’s recent insight session for brokers, Kirsty Bartlett said Mr Bartlett’s success is due to treating his referral partners as his customers, which resulted in $116 million in receipted settlements in his fourth full year as a broker.

“If you ask Josh who his customers are, he’ll tell you it’s his referral partners,” she said.

“While his business is very customer-service focused and he has processes in place to ensure his clients are always satisfied, Josh works closely with his 89 referral partners to make sure those relationships are strong and productive.

“Josh’s business is based on building relationships.”

Matt Sims, director of Ray White Ferntree Gully, explained to session attendees that his success is also largely due to creating an environment that drives business growth for real estate agents and brokers through collaboration, reward and recognition.

Loan Market broker Jason Decru – who works in partnership with Mr Sims – said he has built his business based on referrals from Ray White, and has used the same tactics as Mr Sims to generate trust among Ray White agents.

Loan Market Victoria’s recently appointed associate director Chris Angus recently said that he is determined to release the untapped potential of the group’s relationship with real estate giant Ray White.

Mr Angus said Loan Market has a comprehensive branding solution and a clear focus on digital marketing, as well as “unrealised opportunities” with Ray White.

“Loan Market has gone through a renaissance and that’s what’s so exciting. Across the group, there’s a real appetite for the business to evolve, grow and improve,” he said.
