Nominations for the fifth annual Australian Broking Awards are now open, with the winners to be announced at a five-star luncheon at the Royal Hall of Industries in Sydney on 31 July.

The awards are dedicated exclusively to mortgage and finance brokers and previous winners have been praised for raising industry standards and inspiring other brokers.

Commonwealth Bank continues its principal partnership of The Adviser's awards for the fifth year running, underlining its continued support for excellence in mortgage broking.

CBA’s general manager of broker sales, Sam Boer, said the bank was proud to partner the Australian Broking Awards for the fifth consecutive year.

“These awards recognise the very best in the industry. Both finalists and winners are those individuals and groups that exemplify the professionalism of the industry and reflect the qualities and capabilities needed to succeed in a competitive market,” Mr Boer said.

“These awards honour those within the industry who have been outstanding in demonstrating strong business capabilities and delivering exceptional customer service. It is great to be part of an industry that recognises and celebrates outstanding performance and achievement, and these awards pay tribute to those who deliver quality in everything they do.”

Mr Boer said that in today’s fast-paced environment, the Australian Broking Awards play an important role in bringing the industry together.

“The awards also provide the industry’s top brokers with great networking opportunities, and are a symbol that can help generate more business opportunities,” he said.

As well as recognising the standout businesses and individuals across a number of key categories, this year’s awards will, for the first time, introduce four new categories to reflect the ever-evolving industry. Best Asset Finance Broker and Best Commercial Broker will feature this year, as well as two awards recognising the outstanding achievements of regional brokers.

The Adviser's publisher, Jim Hall, said the awards play an important role in bringing the industry together.

"The Australian Broking Awards are the highlight of the year, bringing together the industry’s most influential figures," he said.

"We look forward to celebrating broker success and achievement on 31 July.”

In addition to CBA's ongoing parntership, ANZ and NAB Broker are this year's platinum partners, and Pepper and ME Bank are gold partners of the awards. Once again, this year's awards will feature the popular Broker IQ quiz show, partnered by St George Bank.
