Vow Financial brokers raise more than $40,000 for charity

Vow Financial brokers have shown their charitable side with two big fundraising efforts at their national conference in Vietnam.

Brokers raised more than $40,000 for cancer charity Hannah’s Chance Foundation at the conference’s gala dinner, according to the aggregator’s state manager for Victoria and Tasmania, Ross Laurenson.

Ms Laurenson said Suzanne Snoeks, Princess Binghay, Daan Jansen and Paul Ballinger then donated another $2,500 after learning of a tragedy that befell a local woman they had befriended.

“Her father was knocked over crossing the road and rushed to hospital. He survived six days but his injuries were such that he did not respond to medical care,” Mr Laurenson said.

“He was transferred to two hospitals in an effort to provide a solution. Lan only earns $300 a month and the medical bills alone were impossible to cover. Also upon his death the hospital would allow the body to stay a week and then just be burned.”

Mr Laurenson said the four brokers responded by raising $2,500, which allowed the body to be released and also pay for a tombstone.

Vow’s conference was held in Da Nang last month.
