Australian First Mortgage appoints new BDM

by Staff Reporter7 minute read

Australian First Mortgage has appointed a new BDM for New South Wales brokers.

Rob Legge has been promoted from credit manager to the key sales management position of NSW business manager.

He has been with the non-bank lender for more than two years, and is a 30-year veteran of the industry. He has also held positions at Mortgageport, ING Direct and IMB.

Mr Legge said he would offer brokers a highly personalised level of service and draw on the knowledge he had gained as a credit manager.

“The key thing I want to achieve in the new role is to become an integral part of the success profile of my business partners,” he said.

Managing director David White said Mr Legge’s promotion was well-timed given that Australian First Mortgage plans to unveil several new product initiatives in 2014.

“We believe the key to a successful BDM is product knowledge, and Rob’s credit experience makes him the ideal candidate for his new role,” Mr White said.

“We’re excited about offering him new challenges and broadening his experience.”
