LMG appoints new executive

by Adrian Suljanovic10 minute read

The aggregator has appointed Louise Rainger to head up its Brokerversity platform and oversee other broker learning initiatives.

Ms Rainger first joined aggregator Loan Market Group (LMG) as its inaugural national head of broker education and has spent 17 years in a variety of roles with international education franchisor Kumon, becoming general manager at its US base.

She recently returned to Australia, working in the finance industry as national strategic partnerships manager with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) before being appointed to her newly created role with LMG.

LMG group executive – residential Andrea McNaughton commented on Ms Rainger’s appointment, stating it signalled the aggregator’s commitment to making its brokers “the most knowledgeable in the industry”.

“This is a newly created role, taking leadership of our bespoke educational broker content and exploring the most dynamic channels and forums in which we can deliver it to our network,” Ms McNaughton said.

“We’re excited to see how Louise will bring her best-practice processes and insights in effective education and communication as we embark on what we view will be the decade of the broker.”

Ms Rainger stated she was enticed to the role by the opportunity to explore new educational opportunities through the Brokerversity platform, further supporting the knowledge base of LMG.

“As a central learning and development platform, Brokerversity will reshape how brokers and Client Service Managers can refresh their approach to everyday professional activities, better utilise the tools at their disposal and branch out into specialisations,” said Ms Rainger.

“It’s a wonderful, centralised forum where successful brokers can share their tactics and insights and where our businesses can pick up information at their own pace.

“I’m excited to explore different channels and ways our brokers can embrace Brokerversity and supporting educational programs. The more buy-in we have from our network, the more successful it will be.”

CISO appointment

Ms Rainger’s appointment followed the aggregator appointing Luke Jarmaine as its new chief information security officer (CISO).

LMG referred to Mr Jarmaine as a “recognised leader in information security”, bringing 22 years of experience to his new role.

Mr Jarmaine most recently held the role of global head of security strategy and architecture at QBE and held senior cyber security and IT roles with Westpac, Virgin, IBM, Fujitsu, and the Department of Defence prior to that.

LMG stated brokers can expect further enhanced data protection, cyber security education and services, risk management, secure digital strategies, and a larger team of security specialists in order to protect their businesses and clients in the wake of a surge in cyber threats and attacks.
