We saw a real tension in the market. Brokers want to build a complete picture of their client before lodgement, so they can choose the best lender for their situation and avoid surprises, MIRs, or declined applications. But the more thorough brokers try to be, the worse the process can feel for the client.
Collecting bank statements, credit reports, and payslips often means chasing information across multiple systems and fragmented client journeys. Doing the job properly can create a process that frustrates everyone involved.
