MFAA hosts State Excellence Awards
The Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) hosted its annual State Excellence Awards throughout May and June 2026, celebrating the industry’s best brokers, businesses, and support professionals. The prestigious events kicked off with the South Australian/Northern Territory awards at Adelaide Oval on 28 May, followed by the Victorian/Tasmanian celebration at the Ritz–Carlton Melbourne on 4 June. Western Australia’s industry leaders gathered at Crown Perth on 11 June, while the Queensland awards took place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on 18 June. The roadshow concluded with the NSW/ACT awards at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth on 25 June.
Across 26 diverse categories, independent judges and verified member voting determined the winners. The Adviser was thrilled to sponsor the Specialty Lender Award in each state.
The crowned winners now automatically progress to the MFAA’s upcoming National Awards.

Mortgage Choice 2026 Aspire roadshow
The Mortgage Choice Aspire roadshow recently took place, bringing together women in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Now in its sixth year, Aspire is the talent program for the women in the Mortgage Choice network. The roadshows are designed to inspire attendees and foster a sense of community for franchise owners, brokers, their teams, and their networks.
The roadshow’s keynote speaker was Dr Yemi Penn – engineer, entrepreneur, and documentary filmmaker who introduced her framework Rebellious Curiosity, which challenged attendees to deconstruct inherited narratives around success, wealth, gender roles, and leadership. Penn provided attendees with practical tools to evaluate their habits and navigate change with clarity to confidently own their future.
