BLANK Financial hosts broker launch party

Bernard Desmond and the BLANK Financial team hosted the Blank Broker Launch party in Melbourne recently, celebrating its first broker partners with an evening of live entertainment, cocktails, fireworks, and a DJ.

The evening brought together leaders from across banking, mortgage broking, and real estate, including William Lockett, managing director of Specialist Finance Group (BLANK’s aggregator); Dean O’Brien and Stavros Ambatzidis, founders of O’Brien Real Estate; alongside senior representatives from the four major banks, AMP, Bankwest, Bank of Melbourne, Ubank, Liberty Financial, Resimac, Prime Capital, and Clinch.

The launch celebrated the individual journeys of the first five founding broker partners: Nimesha Randeniya, Calvin Furnell, Rebecca Timms, Rex Francis, and Jose Lainez-Sanchez.

Desmond said the launch “celebrated how far we’ve come, but more importantly, where we’re going. For Blank, this is just the beginning”.

ORDE unveils new Melbourne CBD signage

ORDE Financial (ORDE) has unveiled new signage atop its headquarters at 31 Queen Street in Melbourne’s CBD.

Located on the landmark tower long known to Melburnians as the ‘Challenger’ building, ORDE’s illuminated sign is a new addition to the city skyline. It reflects the company’s growth from a six-person start-up to a national non-bank lender supporting more than 7,000 brokers, 16,000 borrowers, and over $13 billion in settled loans.

ORDE was founded by managing directors Paul Wells and Ryan Harkness, together with four founding team members. Harkness said: “The sign is a visible moment, but what matters is everything that’s gone into getting here – the people, the relationships and the belief from those who backed us early on.”
