Best Aggregator BDM

The role of the aggregator BDM is all about support, whether it’s supporting existing brokers to facilitate deals or supporting the aggregator’s drive in recruitment/maximising retention. This award recognises the top-performing aggregator BDM for the calendar year 2021 in each state and is open to all full-time BDMs that meet the category requirements.

Best Customer Service (Individual)

This award recognises the broker that has delivered the best customer service for the calendar year 2021 and is open to all individual brokers who meet the category requirements.

Best Finance Broker

As the needs of consumers have grown, so has the need for brokers to offer solutions and services beyond residential mortgages.

This award recognises the broker who, over the calendar year 2021, has created the strongest client offering by servicing clients’ wider financial needs outside of residential mortgages.

Best Lender BDM (Bank)

The lender BDM plays a key role in connecting brokers with products and assisting brokers to write business. This award recognises the top-performing lender BDM for the calendar year 2021 in each state and is open to all BDMs who meet the category requirements. BDMs will be assessed on new broker business, plus servicing credentials.

Best Lender BDM (Non-Bank)

The lender BDM plays a key role in connecting brokers with products and assisting brokers to write business. This award recognises the top-performing non-bank lender BDM for the calendar year 2021 in each state and is open to all BDMs that meet the category requirements. BDMs will be assessed on new broker business plus servicing credentials.

Best Loan Administrator

Often the unsung hero of a mortgage business, this award recognises the loan administrator in each state that has most effectively supported their broker or business in the calendar year 2021. The category, which is open to all loan administrators who meet the category requirements, will assess the volume of submissions supported, their attention to detail, knowledge of products, bank systems and loan processes, as well as customer service capabilities.

Best Newcomer

This award recognises the leading newcomer in each state for the calendar year 2021 and is open to all brokers who meet the category requirements. This category assesses loan settlement and loan book performance. Conversion rates, submission quality and customer servicing capabilities will also be evaluated as part of this award.

Best Regional Broker

This award recognises the broker best servicing regional borrowers and who best represents the industry across key factors, including, but not limited to, loan volumes and loan book growth.

Best Residential Broker

This award recognises the top-performing residential mortgage broker for the calendar year 2021 in each state and is open to all brokers who meet the category requirements. This category assesses loan settlement and loan book performance, plus year-on-year growth in loan volumes and loan book. Individual productivity and customer servicing capabilities will also be evaluated as part of this award.

Mentor of the Year

The Mentor of the Year award recognises today’s leader – the professional who plays an integral role guiding, supporting and promoting the training and career development of their mentees.

Thought Leader of the Year

This award recognises the broker who is tomorrow’s leader and has shown long-term passion and aptitude for improving and leading the industry. They are a professional who will play an integral role in the development of mortgage broking in the years ahead.

Wellness Advocate of the Year

This award recognises the individual broker who has actively advocated health and wellness initiatives, events and/or activities among their peers and the community at large.

Best Branded Office

This award recognises the most successful branded franchise office in each state for calendar year 2021 and is open to all brokerages/offices that meet category requirements. This category assesses loan settlement and loan book performance of the office. Collective conversion rates, submission quality and customer servicing capabilities will also be evaluated as part of this award.

Best Community Engagement Program

This award recognises the brokerage with a unique community engagement program that has gone above and beyond the normal ways of connecting with and benefitting the community. This category assesses the uniqueness of the program, the outcomes from the program and how the program has helped the broker/brokerage secure more business. E.g. Not limited to but including sponsoring local teams, volunteering and charity work.

Best Customer Service (Office)

This award recognises the brokerage that has delivered the best customer service for calendar year 2021, and is open to all individual offices that meet the category requirements. This category assesses the business benefits associated with effective customer service, taking into account the uplift in new, repeat and referred business.

Best Independent Office (5 brokers or less)

This award recognises the most successful office (five brokers or less) in each state for calendar year 2021, and is open to all brokerages/offices that meet category requirements. This category assesses loan settlement and loan book performance of the office.

Best Independent Office (more than 5 brokers)

This award recognises the most successful office (more than five brokers) in each state for calendar year 2021, and is open to all brokerages/offices that meet category requirements. This category assesses loan settlement and loan book performance of the office.

Best New Office

This award recognises the most successful new office in each state for calendar year 2021, and is open to all residential mortgage brokerages/offices that meet category requirements. This category assesses loan settlement and loan book performance of both the office.

Best Regional Office

This award recognises the broking office best servicing regional borrowers. This category assesses loan settlement numbers and volume, as well as the loan book performance of the office.
