ASX-listed aggregator Australian Finance Group (AFG) has promoted its head of sales and distribution Them Lam to chief distribution and marketing officer (CDMO).

The aggregator said the newly created executive role connects AFG’s sales and marketing functions across both the wholesale aggregation brand and its subsidiary Fintelligence.

Lam has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, including 17 years at AFG.

AFG said Lam had played a key role in expanding AFG’s distribution capability, strengthening broker relationships, and delivering sustainable commercial growth across the group.

AFG CEO David Bailey said: “Them understands our business, our brokers and our people as well as anyone. Over many years, he has consistently demonstrated the ability to bring teams together, develop leaders and deliver strong commercial outcomes.”

Newcastle-based brokerage Money Links has appointed finance strategist and broker Connor Perry as its head of sales, effective 1 July 2026.

Perry first joined Money Links in 2021 as a senior finance strategist, establishing himself as one of the business’s highest-performing brokers. Money Links said that he had consistently delivered exceptional results for clients and contributed meaningfully to the growth of the broader team, serving as a mentor to the other brokers in the team.

In his new role, Perry will captain a seven-broker-strong team as Money Links targets to exceed $500 million in annual settlements and surpassing a $1 billion loan book in the financial year 26–27.

The brokerage director, Brenden Lowbridge, said the appointment recognised Perry’s outstanding personal performance and strong leadership qualities: “Connor’s appointment is very well deserved. He has the respect of our team and our clients, and I have every confidence he will excel in this leadership role.”

This includes a 17-year stint at Westpac, where she held several senior roles across global transactional services, retail, and business banking. Slade then joined NAB in 2017, holding several senior roles, including group executive, personal banking and chief customer experience officer.

Bank of Sydney announces new CEO

The Bank of Sydney board has appointed Kieran McKenna as its permanent CEO.

McKenna – who had been acting CEO since 3 November 2025 – first joined Bank of Sydney in 2024 as chief risk officer, before being named acting CEO in 2025.

He filled the role following the departure of Melos Sulicich (now a non-executive director at SME lender Earlypay).

The new CEO has more than 30 years of experience in the Australian financial services sector, largely in risk roles, including 10 years as the general manager of risk at the ASX and several senior roles at major banks.

Speaking of the appointment, chair of the Bank of Sydney, Nikolas Hatzistergos, said that McKenna had been a clear choice: “The board is confident that Kieran is the right leader to build on this momentum, continuing to strengthen our customer experience while advancing our vision of sustainable, multi-generational banking that delivers value for our customers, communities and stakeholders.”
