AFG has added Wide Bay Australia to its growing panel of residential lenders.

Australia's fifth largest building society will now distribute residential finance in all states and territories across Australia.

Last month, the mutual recorded a $9.585 million profit for the six months to 31 December 2009 – 16.5 per cent more than corresponding period in 2007/08.

But despite its increase in profit, overall lending for the six months fell almost $60 million, from $266 million to $209 million.
