Staff Reporter Smartline has recognised its highest achieving franchisees during its recent annual conference. Franchisee Cathy Anderson from South Australia was recognised for her outstanding marketing abilities, while Janelle Hammer from Western Australia was recognised for her ongoing client care. Karen Le Comte from Queensland received the Lender’s Choice Award, which is voted on by the franchise’s panel of lenders and assessed on loan submission quality and professionalism when dealing with lenders. Terry Azzopardi from Victoria took out the Rookie of the Year award, while Simon Hassett from Western Australia took out the company’s Rising Star of the Year award. Samrtline’s managing director Chris Acret said the success of last year’s merger between Smartline and Mortgage Force had led to the creation of an even stronger group which was well placed for further success in the future. “We are already starting to see the benefits of having a strong, truly national team,” he said. “Each business operated differently in some areas and had slightly different ideas and that’s turned out to be a positive for all concerned. As a result, it has made us reassess our thinking in some areas, given us all some fresh ideas and enabled us to take the best from each business.”
