Software survey to measure key profitability focus

by Staff Reporter7 minute read

The Adviser’s annual Software and Technology Report will reveal whether brokers have started accessing greater value from their platforms.

Last year’s survey found that 88.3 per cent of brokers weren’t using all of their software’s features, while 23 per cent admitted to using less than half of the features.

This year’s survey will measure where brokers are acquiring their software, which features they’re using and how important technology is to their business.

The Adviser’s publisher, Jim Hall, said it was important for the industry to keep track of the impact that technology is having on the productivity and profitability of mortgage broking.

“Technology is becoming an increasing part of our lives, so the more you can understand it as a broker, the more likely you are to succeed.

“It will also be interesting to see if more brokers are taking the time to master their platforms, because technology vendors tell us again and again that brokers can usually get better value from maximising their existing software than buying something new.”

All brokers who complete the survey go into the running to win an iPad Mini 16gb Wi-Fi. The survey closes on June 24. Click here to take part.
